Treasure Island is a new planned neighborhood rising in the middle of the San Francisco bay. The master plan lays out a series of mid-rise blocks between angled streets to protect inhabitants from prevailing winds, and every block contains one high-rise building. This project was intended to be the first high-rise constructed on Treasure Island. The program is entirely market-rate residential, with a single tower over a mid-rise podium. The tower curtainwall contains white precast pilasters, their profile designed to catch changing shadows as the day progresses. The approachable podium plays up its materiality with thin roman bricks.
