The Jupiter Island residence is a private home on a barrier island in south Florida. Laid out around a central courtyard, the home is designed to be well-suited to its tropical climate with a variety of outdoor spaces and open-air rooms to temper the sun and humidity of the area. The home takes stylistic cues from Spanish Colonial and Bahamian architecture - with a rusticated coral stone first floor, beamed ceilings, hipped roofs and hurricane shutters - yet the home treats these regional influences in a distinctly contemporary manner. As Project Architect, I was primarily responsible for assembling and managing the construction document set, developing the technical drawings and details to construction standards, managing the Revit model, and coordinating with the team.
